What Unbreaking does

Whenever you use an item, it will eventually wear out. For example: Bow has a limited amount of uses and when this number goes from 385/385 to 0- its broken!
Imagine if your weapon was always at full strength? You could shoot arrows all day long without having any concerns about how much longer they’ll last or what happens when the next hit connects with something else besides just being careful not too overload on attacks because who knows where those might end up going…

The Unbreaking enchantment increases the chance that one use will not reduce your items durability. It goes from level 1 to 3 and each stage provides better protection, meaning they last longer!

The chance of an item losing 1 durability is equal to (x+1), where X-is its level in unbreakability. This means that Unbreaking I will make any piece last twice as long, II makes it three times longer than before and III does 4X more damage!

Commands

You can enchant a tool with the Unbreaking enchantment using cheats. To do so, keep the tool in your hand, open the commands and type:

/enchant @p unbreaking 3

If you want to enchant your tool with Unbreaking I or II you just need to change the ‘3’ with the level of the enchantment that you want.

Incompatibilities

Unbreaking has no compatibility issues, which means that you can apply other enchantments to the same enchanted item. This also makes it possible for most items in your inventory be both Unbroken and Mended – meaning they’ll last a very long time!

The Unbreaking enchantment is a great way to make your items last longer. With level 1, they will only break twice as fast! Paired with Mending and you’re sure not going anywhere anytime soon. This article has been very informative so far
