This guide may be useful as you start your search for Geolosys deposits.
Check out how Geolosys’s ores have been set up by the mod pack’s author first. Since all of them can be customized (and even other ones added! ), I strongly advise you to read the Field Manual, which is formatted as follows:
You should read up on Geolosys from that manual as soon as you have one. You’ll learn all about the many kinds of deposits in the game as well as where to look for them. It will be simplest to accomplish this if you make a prospectors pick for yourself out of the iron you obtain from surface-level hematite samples. You can right-click on this option to view information about the deposits in your neighborhood. If you are standing in a chunk that contains deposits and you are above sea level (as seen by the overlay while holding the pro-pick in your main or off-hand), right-clicking will show those deposits. If you are below sea level, right-clicking will show deposits nearby in the direction you are facing if you are at sea level (the radius for which is also configurable).
By now, some tunneling and exploration should hopefully lead to the discovery of your first pluton.
